On our website we use the Meta Pixel of Meta Platforms Ireland Limited, 4 Grand Canal Quare, Dublin 2, Ireland (“Meta”) to analyze usage behavior and to optimize our advertisements. The pixel is a technology that stores and reads data on your device.

When you click on an advertisement served by us on the social networks Facebook or Instagram operated by Meta, a suffix is added to the URL of our linked page by Meta Pixel. This is stored in your browser via a cookie, which our linked website sets itself. This cookie is then read by the pixel and enables the data to be forwarded to Meta.

We use the pixel in the remarketing function (so-called "Custom Audiences") in order to only show the web ads we have placed to those Facebook or Instagram users who have also shown an interest in our online offering or who have certain characteristics, that we submit to Meta. If you maintain a profile on Facebook or Instagram, you can disable this feature in the settings. We also use the pixel for statistical and market research purposes (so-called "conversion").[A1]

The data collected is anonymous to us. However, the data is processed by Meta so that a connection to the respective user profile is possible and Meta can use the data for its own purposes. Information on data protection can be found here:https://www.facebook.com/privacy/policy

Your personal data will be transmitted to the USA, which does not have an adequate level of data protection comparable to that in the EU. You are therefore at risk of government access to this data.

The legal basis for the processing of personal data using cookies for analysis purposes is Section 25 (1) sentence 1 TTDSG, Article 6 (1) lit. a) GDPR. You have the option at any time to revoke your consent in the settings of the cookie banner

DATA PROTECTION

We appreciate your trust and use the utmost care and the highest security standards to protect your personal data from unauthorized access.

The processing of personal data on our website takes place in accordance with the provisions of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the Telecommunications Telemedia Data Protection Act (TTDSG) and the Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG) and on the basis of this data protection declaration.

(1) In order to design our website according to needs, we create pseudonymous usage profiles with the help of Google Analytics. The provider of this web analysis service is Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheater Pkwy, Mountain View, CA 94043-1351, USA. Google Analytics uses cookies, which are stored on your end device and can be read by us. In this way we are able to recognize and count returning visitors and how often our websites have been accessed by different users.

(2) The personal information generated by the cookie about your use of our website (e.g. IP address, access data, location and frequency of access) is usually transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there. A transfer of personal data such as name, address or contact details to Google Analytics does not take place. However, due to IP anonymization, your IP address will be shortened beforehand by Google within member states of the European Union. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be sent to a Google server in the USA and shortened there (further information on the purpose and scope of data collection is available at https://policies.google.com/privacy?hl=de&gl= en[A1] ).

(3) We also have an order processing contract with Google according to Art.28 DS-GVO [A2] closed. Accordingly, Google will only use all information strictly earmarked to evaluate the use of our website for us and to compile reports on website activity.

Your personal data will be transmitted to the USA, which does not have an adequate level of data protection comparable to that in the EU. You are therefore at risk of government access to this data.

(4) The legal basis for the processing of personal data using cookies for analysis purposes is Section 25 (1) sentence 1 TTDSG, Article 6 (1) lit. a) GDPR. You have the option at any time to revoke your consent in the settings of the cookie banner.

(5) If you have not agreed to the use of the web analysis tool, your data will not be recorded as part of Google Analytics. In addition to the option formulated above of revoking your consent or permanently objecting to the setting of cookies, you also have the following options to prevent web analysis by Google:

  • You can make appropriate adjustments in the settings of your Internet browser that prevent the setting of cookies. Such a setting of the Internet browser used would also prevent Google from setting a cookie on your information technology system. In addition, a cookie already set by Google Analytics can be deleted at any time via the Internet browser or other software programs.

  • You can also install the deactivation plug-in in your Firefox, Internet Explorer or Chrome browser. For this you need a browser add-on underhttps://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de [A3]Download and install  . This browser add-on tells Google Analytics via JavaScript that no data and information about visits to websites may be transmitted to Google Analytics. The installation of the browser add-on is evaluated by Google as a contradiction. If the information technology system of the data subject is later deleted, formatted or reinstalled, the data subject must reinstall the browser add-on in order to deactivate Google Analytics. If the browser add-on is uninstalled or deactivated by the person concerned or another person who is attributable to their sphere of influence, there is the possibility of reinstalling or reactivating the browser add-on.

Further information and the applicable data protection regulations of Google can be found at www.google.de/intl/de/policies/privacy/[A4]  and at www.google.com/analytics/terms/de.html[A5] . Google Analytics is available under this link www.google.com/intl/de_de/analytics/[A6]  explained in more detail.
